The regulatory framework of selling ship for recycling has become complex and INGEMAR is conversant with the following legal instruments:

 

- The Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships, 2009

- Regulation (EU) No 1257/2013 on Ship Recycling (EU-SRR)

- Basel Convention on the movements of hazardous wastes, 1989

- Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 June 2006 on shipments of waste

 

INGEMAR is further familiar with Statement of Compliance (SOC), EU Inventory Certificate (EU Certificate), Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM), notification procedures under Basel and the Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 and can guide its clients accordingly.
